What is the Accord Card?
The Accord Card, Aberdeen City Council's smartcard, provides access to a variety of local and national services such as Access to Leisure

The Accord Rewards is free for all city residents and residents just need to swipe their Accord Card at participating merchants to get the Rewards.

Citizens of Aberdeen who would like to take advantage of the Residents Accord Rewards but do not have an Accord Card can apply for one online. Application for an Accord Card under the Scheme is quick, easy and free and your card is ready for collection two weeks later.

Alternatively, you can Apply in Person at any of the following locations:

  • Central Library
  • Airyhall Library
  • Bridge of Don Library
  • Bucksburn Library
  • Cults Library
  • Kincorth Library
  • Mastrick Library
  • Tillydrone Library
  • Kincorth Access Point
  • Mastrick Access Point
  • Woodside Access Point
  • Marischal College, Customer Service Centre

To verify your identity and address you need to bring one of the supporting documents listed below with you. Please note that your application cannot be processed without one of these supporting documents which must be an original (photocopies are not acceptable).

Supporting Documents

  • Council Tax bill for the current year
  • Utility Bill such as Gas, Electricity, landline telephone (dated within the 3 three months)
  • Bank Statement (dated within last three months)
  • Photo Driving Licence
  • Television Licence for current year

A member of staff will verify your identity and address and capture your photo which will be printed on your Accord Card. If you apply at a library you will be given a reference number and be shown to a computer where you can complete your application online.

Once your application has been processed, your Accord Card will be posted to you within 2 weeks and you can start using it straight away.
